A
long and winding road leads up the hill to a viewing

Built
in 1773 on top of a hill by Franciscan Missionaries,
the church is noted for its rich baroque
architectural designs carefully carved on volcanic
rocks.
Famous
for its belfry, which is the only remaining
structure of lavish church buried during the worst
eruption in 1814.
This
activity involves crossing the rough and rocky Bonga
Gully in a quad-bike, crawling your way up a
500-foot wall of lava, and winding your way through
big boulders from under which steam sporadically
issues—indicating that the bottom is boiling hot.
You need a comfortable outfit as protection from the
sharp edges of the rocks.
Found
in Camalig, an hour drive away from the city. Locals
say it was once used as a burial site of their
ancestors. With its hundreds of unusual formation
and massive caverns, it makes spelunking here worth
the adventure!
